About the project
The £18 million refurbishment of this iconic listed Edinburgh landmark hotel was to enable the rebranding from a full service Hilton Hotel into a Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
This involved a full bedroom refurbishment programme, the creation of the traditional Waldorf Astoria Peacock Alley, the refurbishment of all public areas and the creation of two new restaurants, operated by the renowned chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin. In addition the spa was extended and refurbished and is operated by Guerlain, the famous French cosmetics company.
