About the project
This is an ambitious five-year EU-funded project aimed at boosting research & development and transforming computer science at Swansea University into a beacon for computing in Wales. Works will involve the construction of a centre of excellence for computer science at the Bay Campus with accommodation anticipated to include laboratories, ICT suites, conference facilities, workshops, teaching rooms, lecture theatres, preparation and storage rooms, cafe, circulation, offices and breakout spaces, kitchen, interview rooms and reception, services, staff and meeting rooms. This £21 million expansion is a strategic priority for Swansea University, in line with the Wales Smart Specialisation Strategy, and the Swansea Bay City Region Economic Regeneration Strategy.
