About the project
This prestigious £1.3 million project comprised the construction of a new Student Centre hub at the University of East London Docklands Campus, opposite London City Airport. ChandlerKBS provided cost management services.
The hub allows students to seek advice and support for a wide range of issues from trained University Advisors. The facilities include frontline helpdesks for face-to-face advice, interview and counselling rooms for private one-to-one discussions, group meeting rooms, social areas, waiting areas, cashiers office and back office support facilities for staff. The functions of the hub are supported by several pieces of bespoke joinery items such as the information wall, which contains check-in kiosks, TV screens, staff storage, vending machines, flyer racks, signage, laptop counters and student seating.
