About the project

ChandlerKBS was commissioned by London Luton Airport to carry out the cost management, contract and procurement advice for the redevelopment of the airport to increase its capacity to 18 million passengers per annum.

The project comprised both landside and airside terminal expansion and refurbishment works, increasing the floor space by approximately 25% at a value of £65 million.  Improvements were required to the airport highway and pedestrian circulation and parking facilities requiring civil engineering works, a project value of £16.6 million.  Works also involved airside pavement works to improve aircraft manoeuvring and parking facilities.
