About the project

The project comprises the construction of a 90MLD Water Treatment Works (WTW) that will utilise the Suspended Ion Exchange (SIX) and CeraMac process technology available from PWN Technologies.  It also involves the construction of a new 700mm diameter transfer main and pipework connections to improve the resilience of the water supply network.

Upon completion, the WTW will replace the existing Crownhill WTW.

Ofwat commended the innovative approach to the project from South West Water.
