About the project
Magnox sought to move from site-centric procurement to a more co-ordinated and integrated approach across its stations to deliver more consistency with better engagement and deployment of resources for its decommissioning programme. ChandlerKBS was engaged by Magnox to deliver this significant change programme through the development and execution of the Magnox Procurement and Commercial strategy to cover the entire UK fleet.
Following a development programme ChandlerKBS supported the strategy roll out across Magnox, including the provision of specific procurement resources as well as training and mentoring for key staff. This commission included: -
Developing an integrated strategy, engaging a wide stakeholder group including the NDA,
Integrating Site Annual Procurement Plans,
Supply Chain mapping to identify key risks and opportunities and to match the supply chain structure and offering,
Assessing procurement and commercial resource needs, including training and development needs.
