About the project
ChandlerKBS, in partnership with Black & Veach and GL Industrial Services, were appointed by Thames Water and Ofwat to undertake an independent third party expert review of the whole life costs and benefits delivered by the mains replacement in London since 2002/03.
The scope and objectives included a review of the process, performance and benefits derived up to March 2010 based on the whole life costs and benefits against expectations and identification of how lessons learnt from performance to-date could inform planning for more effective and efficient delivery during AMP5 and beyond, and the incremental costs and benefits of a range of options of mains rehabilitation for improving the supply demand balance beyond maintaining base service.
