About the project
The £10.3 million project comprised of the design and construction of a new five storey, short-stay car park. The MSCP accommodates approximately 1500 vehicles with external straight vehicle ramps. The works included connection to the existing road system within the airport boundary and connection to the pedestrian link bridge, which was constructed under the landside civils works package (Lot 1), on which ChandlerKBS was also providing cost management services.
The Client appointed Buckingham Group as the Main Contractor for the delivery of these works. The interface between the MSCP construction and Lot 1 works was carefully managed to ensure both projects could run simultaneously and to optimise value engineering opportunities relating to concurrent construction.
ChandlerKBS provided full pre and post contract cost management services.
