About the project
The £7.5 million project comprises the following airside pavement works constituting improvements to aircraft manoeuvring and parking facilities. The project had three specific sections of work:
- Extension to Taxiway 08
- Extension to the Southern Apron
- Reconfiguration of Stand 16
Additional associated works included drainage, airfield ground lighting and reconfiguration of Switch House 1.
The Client appointed Ryebridge Limited as the Design and Build Contractor for these works. The works were undertaken within a live operational airport with specific restricted areas only accessible during short night time sessions.
