News: Constructing Excellence Awards

Simon Lander celebrates winning the Achievers Award at the 2010 Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards and has been further honoured in winning the Achievers Award at the National Constructing Excellence Awards in London.

The Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards are all about celebrating the great and the good in Welsh construction and this year, more than ever before, demonstrated that a collaborative approach to construction procurement and project management delivers outstanding results, on time, on budget and that are sustainable.

The winner of the Achievers Award, Simon Lander, clearly demonstrated that a collaborative approach to procurement and project management not only guarantees great projects, but is the only way to achieve Government targets on waste and low/zero carbon.

Sponsored by Magnox and TSIF, the annual awards are an opportunity for every part of the Welsh built environment to demonstrate their achievements and promote the ideals of collaborative working and best practice.

Simon went on to win the National awards in the Achievers Award category.  He was praised for his 'quiet confidence' and his fair and objective approach to delivering projects.
