Case Study: Alpenrhein Outlet Village

This new retail shopping village is situated at the foot of the Swiss Alps near the famous international ski resorts of St. Moritz, Klosters, Arosa and Davos It is also close to the Austrian border and to the prosperous principality of Liechtenstein.

Despite heavy snowfall in the area throughout the construction process, the new outlet village opened its doors ready for the start of the ski season. The site was developed by ING Real Estate, who set out to provide an authentic ‘Swiss Chalet’ retail environment.  ChandlerKBS was involved from project inception in 2004 through to the opening of the centre in November 2009.

The shopping village consists of 100 shop units, 1,200 parking spaces and a selection of restaurants and cafes.
